That's how to fix a small hole in painters in dc. Now to correct a larger hole it's basically a similar thing except that we are going to desire to cut right out the hole entirely. Take the drywall saw and cut till you hit a stud, now measure to the mark and minus ¾ of an inch so you will undoubtedly be half on the stud.
